BP MARKOWITZ STATEMENT ON TURKEY EARTHQUAKE AND RELIEF EFFORTS

“Brooklyn is the ‘Turkish Capital of America’ and our hearts go out to our Turkish brothers and sisters and their families as we await news of the extent of the damage and toll from yet another natural disaster in the wake of those in Haiti and Chile. Here in Brooklyn our diversity is indeed our strength, and I am confident that all our communities will come together as they have done in times of international need, opening up hearts and wallets to the victims of this most recent catastrophe.”
