HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF: CHRISTIAN CULTURAL CENTER, COUNCIL OF CHURCHES OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK, ACTOR JAMIE HECTOR (THE WIRE) TO JOIN BP MARKOWITZ, DEPUTY MAYOR WALCOTT TO PRESENT $37,000 IN DONATIONS

On Tuesday, January 19, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will welcome Reverend A.R. Bernard, president of the Christian Cultural Center (CCC), the Council of Churches of the City of New York (CCCNY), Deputy Mayor for Education and Community Development Dennis Walcott and actor Jamie Hector (The Wire) for the presentation of $37,000 in collected donations for Haiti earthquake relief. Also scheduled to attend are Reverend Jimmy Lim, executive director, CCCNY; Reverend N.J. L'Heureux, CCCNY; Bishop Norman Quick, Reverend Adolfo Carrion, Sr.; Reverend Father Mardiros; Morris Gurley; and attorney Kenneth Thompson of Thompson,Wigdor & Gilly, LLP.

The $25,000 donation from CCC and $12,000 collected by CCCNY will be administered through the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City.
