BP MARKOWITZ, BROOKLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY TO BREAK GROUND ON NEW KENSINGTON LIBRARY LOCATION

On Friday, October 23, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL), elected officials and community leaders to break ground on the new Kensington Library location. BPL currently provides library service to the community from a leased facility at 410 Ditmas Avenue. The new Kensington Library project, which received support from BP Markowitz, will be the first “green” BPL library building, and the state-of-the-art ADA-compliant facility will include self check machines, external book drops and First Five Years, teen and adult spaces.
