On Wednesday, December 31, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz rang in the New Year amid fireworks and live entertainment with a crowd of Brooklynites and visitors at Grand Army Plaza at Prospect Park. The 27th annual edition of the fireworks display was once again enhanced by the spectacular public-lighting project "Prospect Park in Lights."
The free New Year's Eve festivities were hosted by Borough President Markowitz and featured live music, including a James Brown impersonator and refreshments.
