BP MARKOWITZ TO THANK BROOKLYN’S FUTURE WORKFORCE AT “SUMMER HEAT” CELEBRATION
More than two dozen employers and 150 teens helped make “Summer Heat” a success

FRIDAY, AUGUST 21
11:00 A.M.
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT AND ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Friday, August 21, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will celebrate the completion of a job well done when he welcomes Summer HEAT (Help Employ Ambitious Teens) participants and employers to Borough Hall. This is the eighth year of Summer HEAT, the Borough President’s summer youth-employment program that encourages Brooklyn businesses to invest in young people through employment. During these challenging economic times, it is even more important for teens to be given the opportunity to work and gain valuable experience.

Borough President Markowitz will be joined by participating employers and many of the more than 150 high school students who participated in the Summer HEAT program this year.
