On Friday, April 3, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz announced that the popular and successful sixth annual “Dine in Brooklyn” event has been extended through April 30, with participating restaurants offering $23 three-course lunch or dinner menus Mondays through Thursdays. The special prix fixe menus will not be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and patrons must call the eatery beforehand to verify its Dine in Brooklyn offerings (not every establishment that took part in the Dine in Brooklyn promotion from March 23 – April 2 is participating in the extension), as well as to make reservations. BP Markowitz also reminds everyone to be generous and properly tip their wait staff. Dine in Brooklyn is an initiative of the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office and Best of Brooklyn, Inc. Generous sponsors include American Express, TD Bank, Time Out New York, Empire State Development Corporation, Con Edison, Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Brooklyn Restaurant Association, New York State Restaurant Association and New York City College of Technology.
