BP MARKOWITZ TO JOIN BROOKLYN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, UNITED WAY OF NEW YORK CITY TO LAUNCH HAITIAN COMMUNITY HOPE & HEALING FUND

On Wednesday, February 17, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Deputy Borough President Yvonne Graham will join the Brooklyn Community Foundation and United Way of New York City to officially launch the NYC Haitian Community Hope & Healing Fund.

The NYC Hope & Healing Fund will provide financial support and critical resources to local nonprofit organizations that are attuned to the needs of Haitian American New Yorkers affected by the earthquake; it will also focus on strengthening these organizations so they can most effectively serve the increased number of people needing assistance.
