BP MARKOWITZ TO HOST POLISH-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION AT BOROUGH HALL

On Thursday, October 29, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join the Honorable Krzysztof W. Kasprzyk, consul general of the Republic of Poland in New York, and Marek Skulimowski, deputy counsel general, for a celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall observing Polish-American Heritage Month—Polsko-Amerykanskie Obchody Dzicdzictwa Kulturalnego.
This year, Borough President Markowitz will honor:
- Bogdan Bachorowski, 2nd vice president, Pulaski Association of Business and Professional Men, Inc. and the 2009 marshal of the Greenpoint contingent in the Pulaski Parade
- Danuta Bronchard, director, Maria Konopnicka Polish Supplementary School in Greenpoint
- Krakowianki and Gorale Children’s Dance Group, Nadia Gryziec, manager
- Rev. Canon Witold Mroziewski JCD, pastor, Our Lady of Czestochowa St. Casimir RC Church
This year’s festivities will also include musical selections and food representative of Poland. |
