BP MARKOWITZ TO OBSERVE “COVER THE UNINSURED WEEK” AND HELP 400,000 BROOKLYNITES GET COVERAGE

10:30 A.M.
MONDAY, MARCH 23
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Monday, March 23, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join community organizations for a press conference to mark “National Cover the Uninsured Week” (March 22 through March 28) and raise awareness about the programs and organizations available to help eligible Brooklynites receive the health coverage to which they are entitled.

Access to health care is a critical, quality-of-life issue for a growing number of Brooklyn residents, especially during this difficult economic crisis. Currently, more than 400,000 Brooklynites do not have health coverage.
