Though he has lived in our Brooklyn “suburb” of Staten Island for more than a few decades now, Brooklyn still claims new Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano as one of our own. I commend his service to this City and our nation, and congratulate him on his richly-earned appointment.
