BP MARKOWITZ TO HOST ASIAN-PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE CELEBRATION AT BOROUGH HALL

On Thursday, May 29, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Asian-American Heritage Committee will host an evening of celebration to mark Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Brooklyn is home to one of the largest and fastest-growing Asian-American communities in the country.

Several distinguished members of Brooklyn’s Asian-American community will be honored at the event, including Patricia Cho, Owner, Fruit Farm Market, Inc.; Patsy Lee, Senior Service Coordinator, Brooklyn Chinese-American Association; Kyung Bai An, Owner, An’s Tae Kwon Do Academy, Inc.; Joe Chan, President, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership; Carol Enseki, President, Brooklyn Children’s Musuem; and Yuko Nii, Founder, Williamsburg Art & Historical Center.

NY1 Sports Reporter Michelle Yu will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
