BP MARKOWITZ TO URGE CITY COUNCIL NOT TO CUT BUDGETS OF COMMUNITY BOARDS

11:00 A.M.
MONDAY, MAY 19
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL PLAZA
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Monday, May 19, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will stand with district managers and chairpersons and others to call on the City Council not to cut the budgets of New York City’s 59 community boards, including 18 in Brooklyn. BP Markowitz and critics of the proposed reductions are concerned community boards won’t be able to effectively carry out their charter-mandated responsibilities.
