BP MARKOWITZ TO CELEBRATE RUSSIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL WITH CEREMONY, FESTIVITIES AT BOROUGH HALL

On Wednesday, June 11, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, the Daily News and the Russian-American Foundation will host a celebration of the 6th Annual Russian Heritage Festival with a ceremony honoring distinguished members of the community.
Honorees include Susan Green, Director, Administration & Finance, Jewish Community Relations Council and former Executive Director, New York Coalition for Soviet Jewry; Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst; Eugene Schneur, Managing Director, Omni New York LLC; RAJE-Russian American Jewish Experience/The Russian Division of Gateways; and Tatiana Varzar, Founder, Tatiana Restaurant and Nightclub. Music will be presented by “Kavkaz” Mountain Jewish National Dance.
The 6th Annual Russian Heritage Festival, a citywide celebration of the many cultural and economic contributions of the Russian-speaking community in New York, is produced by the Russian-American Foundation and presented by the Daily News, in cooperation with Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City of New York.
