“As an elected official for the last 29 years, I have learned you can never put too much stock in polls, especially those that are conducted this far ahead of an election. However, I am obviously flattered by the results and the confidence voters have placed in me in a field of very qualified candidates. As I have stated before, the decision of whether or not to run for mayor is a very important one, and I continue to consider all factors—both political and personal—in making that determination.”
