BP MARKOWITZ, CONSUL GENERAL OF LEBANON IN NEW YORK HONOR BROOKLYN’S LEBANESE-AMERICAN COMMUNITY |

On Thursday, December 4, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Antoine Azzam, Consul General of Lebanon in New York, hosted a Lebanese Heritage Day reception at Brooklyn Borough Hall to celebrate the borough’s more than 100-year-old Lebanese-American community. Honorees included Metropolitan Philip Saliba, Metropolitan Archbishop of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America; Dr. Nagi J. Bustros; Dr. Jean Kalache, Mr. Diya Obeid, and Social and Economic Action for Lebanon (S.E.A.L.).
BP Markowitz was also presented with the prestigious Cedar Award by members of the Lebanese community.
