On Thursday, April 24, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Jules Spiegel and co-owners Suzanne Meehan and Yasmin Gur for the grand opening of Crossroads To Go, a new takeaway coffee and food stand on Joralemon Street near Brooklyn Borough Hall that caters to customers “on the go.”

Festivities included free coffee for commuters, compliments of Zipcar. Ito En also offered free samples of Tea’s Tea, and Crossroads To Go provided samples of muffins, banana nut bread, scones, as well as coffee, iced coffee and hand-squeezed lemonade. Lunchtime entertainment was performed by Tropical Beat, a steel drums band.

Suzanne Meehan and Yasmin Gur also own and operate Crossroads Cafe on Prospect Avenue in Windsor Terrace, which opened in 2004.
