BP MARKOWITZ TO HOST 7th ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE FEDERATION OF THE BROOKLYN BLOCK ASSOCIATIONS

On Wednesday, April 16, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will welcome the 7th Annual Assembly of the Federation of the Brooklyn Block Associations to Borough Hall for “Building a Better Brooklyn…Block by Block.” The evening features a series of workshops on issues important to all New Yorkers, including “Organizing Better Block Associations,” “Letter Carrier Initiative,” “Dig Safely,” “Stop Bed Bugs” and “Compositing.”

BP Markowitz will be joined by Special Assistant to the Borough President Yvonne Graham, Chief of Staff Carlo Scissura, Commissioner Nazli Parvizi of the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit and representatives from the Citizens Committee for NYC, United States Postal Service, Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Brooklyn Botanic Garden and NYC & Long Island One Call Center.
