BP MARKOWITZ TO KICK OFF FIRST-EVER BROOKLYN CHILDREN’S SPORTS AND FITNESS EXPO

On Wednesday, April 2, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join Vincent Ferguson, owner of Body Sculpt of New York, and Commissioner Kenneth Podziba, New York City Commission on Sports, to launch the Brooklyn Children’s Sports and Fitness Expo, to be held at St. Francis College on Saturday, April 5.

The Expo will bring awareness to childhood obesity and allow hundreds of school age children to participate in a wide range of sports clinics along with health tests, screenings, seminars and demonstrations. The event will be free of charge.

Also present at the press conference will be students from Packer Collegiate Institute, Brooklyn Friends School, P.S. 38 and P.S. 261.
