On Thursday, September 27, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz got a firsthand look of the as-yet-to-be-named baby walrus at New York Aquarium. According to the Aquarium, the June 12th birth marked the first time a walrus was born at the Coney Island facility or anywhere in New York City. “Brooklyn’s Biggest Baby” was unveiled to the media today.
