On October 24, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined keynote speaker Lt. Governor David Patterson at Brooklyn Borough Hall to address a gathering of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.

The event was a free public workshop for minority and women business owners sponsored by the Chamber. New and experienced Brooklyn vendors learned more about the bidding process for government contracting at the federal, state and local levels, as well as in the private sector.
