On Tuesday, October 2, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz rolled up his sleeve and received his annual flu shot at a Say “Boo!” to the Flu booth outside 15 Metro Tech Center in downtown Brooklyn. Borough President Markowitz was joined by his wife Jamie, who also received her flu shot.

The nonprofit Families Fighting Flu has joined Visiting Nurse Associations of America and Clorox to help families say "boo!" to the flu and have a healthier cold and flu season. The Say "Boo!" to the Flu program was created to help educate families on the importance of flu vaccination and other prevention tips to help scare the flu virus away this fall and winter.
