MONY MONY! TOMMY JAMES AND THE SHONDELLS KICK OFF 29th ANNUAL SEASIDE CONCERT SERIES
Brooklyn concert tradition includes a variety of stars appealing to all music lovers!

If you love music, you’re in luck, because Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz is once again bringing exceptional musical talent from all over the world right here to Brooklyn.  The 29th Annual Seaside Summer Concert Series will celebrate the summer in exciting fashion, beginning on July 12th with a night to remember – Tommy James & The Shondells, appearing here for the first time, join with Jay Black and Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge. The concert series will showcase top name performers every Thursday night at 7:30 through August 23rd, and all performances will be presented free of charge.

The tremendous artists at this year’s concerts represent every musical style under the sun, from the world’s greatest party band, the B-52’s, to a trip back in time for those who survived the ‘60s, Hippiefest. We also welcome the memorable Air Supply. A night of salsa and merengue by the sea is sure to get everyone dancing, and two special mystery nights, add to the excitement.

Concerts will be held at Asser Levy Park at West 5th Street and Surf Avenue in Brighton Beach, opposite the New York Aquarium. The public can bring their own chairs or rent chairs for $5 in a special designated area ($10 on 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, and 8/23). Performers are subject to change without notice. Call the concert hotline for updates at 718-469-1912, or visit www.brooklynconcerts.com.
