BP MARKOWITZ SEEKING SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS TO
BROOKLYN’S HEALTH DISPARITIES

9:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.
FRIDAY, MAY 5
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL COURTROOM
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Friday, May 4, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will welcome health care professionals and service providers to Borough Hall for a Forum on Health Care Disparities. In their efforts to effectively reshape the care delivery system Borough President Markowitz and Deputy Borough President Yvonne Graham have organized this conference to focus on the role of community-based health providers in improving health care distribution in minority communities in Brooklyn.

Representatives from government agencies, health care providers, and community-based organizations will participate in panel presentations on topics such as: Access to Health Care, Public and Private Sector Collaboration, and Community Based Organizations. The forum represents a call to focus attention and stimulate action in areas that will lead to the greatest improvement in health among racial and ethnic minorities and put an end to the disparities that plague Brooklyn.

The Health Disparities Forum is presented in partnership with the Central Brooklyn Medical Group and the Provident Clinical Society.
