On Wednesday, May 3, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined Department of Small Business Services Commissioner Rob Walsh and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce President Ken Adams to welcome the best and brightest graduating seniors from Brooklyn’s 14 colleges and universities to a comprehensive and unique career expo at the Brooklyn Marriott.

The expo, designed to bridge the gap between college and career, brought more than 2,000 graduating students together with more than 90 employers from various industries from across the city. In addition to interviewing with potential employers, students chose from 10 career seminars led by highly respected industry professionals on topics such as How to Market Yourself and Effective Networking.

“The brightest minds from Brooklyn’s 14 colleges and universities will have the chance to show top employers at the College to Career Expo the unique abilities and sensibility you can only obtain in Brooklyn,” said Borough President Markowitz. “In addition to getting jobs, I know these talented young men and women will prove that by hiring Brooklyn, you’re hiring the best!”
