BP MARKOWITZ DRAFTS PSAL FOOTBALL CHAMPS TO DISTRIBUTE TOYS TO BROOKLYN TOTS

11:00 A.M.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL ROTUNDA
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREETS
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Tuesday, December 19, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will be spreading holiday cheer to young Brooklynites when he distributes hundreds of new toys from the annual Borough Hall toy-drive. Borough President Markowitz will be assisted by the 2006 Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Champion Fort Hamilton Tigers football team of Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge. This December, the Tigers won their second straight PSAL title, and now Brooklyn’s own gridiron stars will show they are champions off the field as well.

More that 30 service organizations including churches, youth groups, and women’s shelters will receive an amazing selection of new toys, ranging from Barbies to board games to basketballs, donated by scores of individuals and corporate sponsors.
