BP MARKOWITZ HOSTS SANTA AND GRAMMY AWARD WINNING CHOIR AT
TREE LIGHTING EXTRAVAGANZA

5:30 PM
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2006
BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL PLAZA
209 JORALEMON STREET
BETWEEN COURT & ADAMS STREET
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN

On Wednesday, December 13, Brooklyn Borough Hall Plaza will shimmer to life with the very special lighting of Brooklyn’s own 36-foot tall Balsam Fir Christmas Tree. Miss New York State Sweetheart 2006, 10-year-old D’Andre McKay of East Flatbush will join Borough President Marty Markowitz to flip the switch on this year’s radiant holiday lighting display. And the Christmas tree won’t be the only thing beaming —children’s faces are sure to light up as Santa Claus makes a special guest appearance. Families will also enjoy a one-of-a-kind performance by the world renowned, six-time Grammy Award winning, 200-member Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Be sure not to miss this Christmas party for all ages!
