Markowitz proclaims “ Andria Gazelle ‘Ms. Full-Figured USA 2005’ Recognition Day in Brooklyn, USA”

 “On behalf of 2.6 million Brooklynites, I salute Brooklynite Andria Gazelle for winning the illustrious title Ms. Full-Figured USA 2005,” said Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. “Ms. Gazelle has made her family, friends, and all of Brooklyn proud, proving that true beauty comes in all sizes. Beauty is about being fit and feeling good about yourself. During her reign as Ms. Full-Figured USA 2005, Ms. Gazelle plans to use her crown to inspire, build self-esteem and encourage others by sending the message that no one should be bound by societal stereotypes, and that beauty has no boundaries.”

On Tuesday, March 22, Borough President Markowitz honored Kings County resident Andria Gazelle for winning the title of Ms. Full-Figured USA 2005. Ms. Gazelle is a registered nurse and model who resides in Carroll Gardens. She is 5-foot-9 and competed in the size 14-20 category. Gazelle won her crown on December 5, 2004 at the 16 th Annual Ms. Full Figured USA Pageant. The pageant, organized by Theresa Randolph of JT Pageant Productions, was held at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, New Jersey.
