On Monday, February 28, Borough President Markowitz and the Faith Center for Community Development hosted a workshop for faith-based organizations interested in creating affordable housing for seniors. Representatives from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development’s New York City office presented information on applying for federal housing funds. The Faith Center assists religious institutions by guiding them through the process of organizing non-profit local development corporations for the purpose of community development.
