LOCAL GARDENER HONORED BY MARKOWITZ
On July 12 the Brooklyn Heights Garden Club announced its “Window Box Contest” winner, Lisa Laudis, who was presented with a certificate of appreciation from Borough President Marty Markowitz. The friendly competition was created to boost enthusiasm for window decorations in high rise apartment buildings as well as private homes. The contest also included potted plants on stoops and in tree pits. |
