MARKOWITZ AND LOCAL DRY CLEANERS DONATE OVER 6,000 PIECES OF CLOTHING

Warm Clothes Help Thousands of Homeless New Yorkers This Winter

On Friday, December 9, Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Korean Dry Cleaners Association in cooperation with the Neighborhood Cleaners Association will donate over 6,000 articles of unclaimed clothing to the Department of Homeless Services. Homeless Services First Deputy Commissioner Fran Winter will come to Borough Hall to collect overcoats, jackets, sweaters and pants that cleaners from Brooklyn and beyond have donated. The clothing will be distributed to homeless shelters in Brooklyn and throughout New York City to help clothe thousands of homeless New Yorkers this winter.
