In the spirit of the World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers, $19.55 for 3 courses

On Friday April 15, Borough President Marty Markowitz and President and CEO of NYC & Company Cristyne Nicholas stepped up to the plate for lunch at Queen Italian Restaurant in Brooklyn Heights to remind New Yorkers to Dine In Brooklyn. Over 180 Brooklyn restaurants are offering three course meals for $19.55 through Wednesday, April 20. Foodies from Brooklyn, the New York region and beyond are flocking to Brooklyn eateries to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Brooklyn Dodgers’ 1955 World Series victory.

“At ‘Dine In Brooklyn,’ I have been fulfilling my fantasy — and filling up — by eating at a different spectacular restaurant every night, without leaving Brooklyn,” said Borough President Markowitz, who launched the borough’s first Restaurant Week last year with the new Brooklyn Tourism and Visitors Center. “Of course, I haven’t been eating alone — I have been surrounded by “foodies” from all over the city. A three-course lunch or dinner at any Dine In Brooklyn eatery costs just $19.55. As the great Jackie Robinson would have noted, it’s a steal! And it’s a home run again for Brooklyn.”

Dine In Brooklyn is an initiative of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Brooklyn Tourism & Visitors Center. This year’s sponsors include TimeOut New York, the Brooklyn Brewery, Commerce Bank, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the Hospitality Management program at New York City College of Technology. Special thanks to the Brooklyn Restaurant Association Chapter of the New York State Restaurant Association for reaching out to their members. Beverages, tax, and gratuity are not included in the special price. This year’s Dine In Brooklyn started on Monday, April 11.

For more information and a list of participating restaurants the public can visit www.brooklyn-usa.org or www.timeoutny.com/dineinbrooklyn or call 718-802-3846.
