On Monday, May 17th, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz hosted his third annual assembly of Brooklyn block associations, to allow association members to meet with representatives of city agencies, to discuss issues of concern to their respective blocks. The agencies represented were the New York City Police Department, the New York City Fire Department, the New York City Parks Department, the Mayor’s Community Assistance Unit, and Citizens for NYC.

“Events like this provide an opportunity for block associations to discuss issues and concerns that they have in common, and to meet with city agencies about how best to assist your community with those issues,” said Borough President Markowitz. “We can accomplish even more when we work together.”

Borough President Markowitz also offered block association members discount offers for block party supplies.
