On Thursday, June 3rd, Brooklyn Deputy Borough
President Yvonne Graham received an honorary doctorate from her
alma mater St. Joseph’s College and gave a keynote address
encouraging the graduates to be leaders.
“Your
time at St. Joseph’s has served you well, you have accumulated
knowledge and developed the tools that will allow you to forge a
successful career…the most important of these tools is leadership,”
Deputy Borough President Graham said. “I am here to tell you
that you can be a leader in any and every walk of life.”
The
Deputy Borough President was introduced as the college’s most
famous alumnus by Borough President Marty Markowitz.
