BOROUGH PRESIDENT MARKOWITZ LAUNCHES READ BROOKLYN!

Some of Brooklyn’s best authors will read their work at Borough Hall.

BETWEEN COURT AND ADAMS STREETS

On Monday, June 28, Borough President Marty Markowitz and Brooklyn Public Library Executive Director Ginny Cooper will kick-off Read Brooklyn! to spotlight Brooklyn’s famed literary community. Some of Brooklyn’s great authors will read from their work to encourage Brooklynites of all ages to read about Brooklyn.

Authors scheduled to read at the event include: D.V. Bernard; Alexander Chee; Susan Daitch; Maggie Estep; Michael Heller; Joanne Hershon; Kenji Jasper; Glenville Lovell; Gloria Mallette; Bernice McFadden; Tim McLoughlin; and Nelly Rosario.

A Brooklyn summer reading list will be released and books will be made available for purchase by BookCourt.
