On Wednesday, June 9th, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz hosted a recognition ceremony for Brooklyn public school students at Brooklyn Borough Hall. Borough President Markowitz applauded the diverse achievements of the elementary, intermediate and high school students, and presented each child with a Best of Brooklyn certificate.

“As Brooklyn students who have achieved greatness in academics, the arts, science, sports, community involvement and so many others in the last school year, I want to congratulate each and every one of you for proving yourselves as truly the Best of Brooklyn,” said Borough President Markowitz. “Congratulations on making Brooklyn proud.”

This annual event honors hundreds of Brooklyn students. This year, Borough President Markowitz recognized 500 students and their respective achievements.
