Today, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz greeted the Brooklyn College Class of 2004 at the College’s 79th Commencement Exercise.

Borough President Markowitz congratulated the graduates on their extraordinary achievement, and encouraged them to use their newly-attained knowledge and skills right here in Brooklyn.

“It is absolutely thrilling for me to return to my Alma Mater and congratulate the Brooklyn College Graduates of 2004,” said Borough President Markowitz. “Brooklyn needs your skills and your spirit. Whether your future is in science, social policy, the Arts, or education, there is an important place reserved for you right here in Brooklyn.”

Brooklyn College is led by President Christoph Kimmich. United States Senator Charles Schumer also spoke at the commencement exercise.
