On Thursday, July 8th, Brooklyn Borough President
Marty Markowitz met with the participants in the National Council
of Synagogue Youth (N.C.S.Y.)- Ivy League Leadership Scholars
Program, as a part of their day-long exploration of Brooklyn,
and spoke about his work as Brooklyn Borough President.
The N.C.S.Y.-
Ivy League Leadership Scholars Program, an academic summer program
that explores the fields of law, business and politics, is led
by Rabbi Asher Vale. The program is comprised of 20 high school
students from 9 states in the U.S. and one province in Canada.
In addition to visiting the Borough President’s Office,
the group also traveled to the District Courts and the Brooklyn
District Attorney’s Office.
