CYCLONES FOR THEIR DONATION TO BROOKLYN LITTLE LEAGUES

On Thursday, April 8th, Brooklyn
Borough President Marty Markowitz joined Cyclones General Manager
Steve Cohen at a press conference to announce the Cyclones’
donation of $5000 worth of baseball equipment several Brooklyn
Little League teams.
“With
the Cyclones generosity today, we can ensure that the next Jackie
Robinson or Pee Wee Reese will have a chance to play in Brooklyn
at the level our kids deserve,” said Borough President
Markowitz.
The
name of the Cyclones program is Operation STRIKE (Striving To
Restore and Improve Kids’ Equipment). It is a partnership
with Baseball America, Nike, Rawlings, and Wilson, and provides
gloves, balls, bats and other equipment.
