On Thursday, April 15th, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined NYC & Company President and CEO Cristyne Nicholas in launching the first-ever “Dine in Brooklyn” at one of Brooklyn’s most beloved Italian restaurants Marco Polo Ristorante.

“Brooklyn’s restaurant scene in New York City – our food is quality, quantity and value,” said Borough President Markowitz. “If you’re into food, Brooklyn is the heartland!”

More than 100 restaurants throughout Brooklyn are participating in the week-long event that runs from Thursday April 15th, through Thursday, April 22nd. The restaurants have agreed to offer a prix fixe meal for $18.98, a price inspired by the year 1898 when Brooklyn joined New York City. The program is being presented by Brooklyn Tourism and Visitors Center and sponsored by MasterCard International, Brooklyn Brewery, Time Out New York Magazine, and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. A list of participating restaurants can be found at www.brooklyn-usa.org.
