BOROUGH PRESIDENT BOOSTS BROOKLYN TOURISM INITIATIVE

Brooklyn Businesses gather to coordinate efforts to make Brooklyn the destination for tourists from home and abroad

On January 21st, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Steering Committee for the Brooklyn Tourism and Visitor’s Center, chaired by Brooklyn Brewery CEO Steve Hindy, will be hosting a meeting of Brooklyn’s burgeoning tourism industry. More than 90 businesses, recreational attractions and cultural institutions from across Brooklyn will be represented at tomorrow’s meeting.

Borough President Markowitz will announce that Brooklyn’s tourism center will open in Borough Hall on February 12th and show the group photos and renderings of the center. The entire group will then have a working session on how to best promote Brooklyn. A continental breakfast will be available from 8:30AM to 9:00 AM.
