In the wake of this week’s Lemrick Nelson verdict, Borough President Marty Markowitz, Councilmember Yvette Clarke and Councilmember James Davis joined the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council (CHJCC), Anti-Defamation League National Director Abe Foxman and other community leaders in reiterating that Crown Heights is a strongly united community – now and for the future.

“We here in Crown Heights, and all across Brooklyn, have learned to live together peacefully and to respect each other regardless of our race, creed or color,” Borough President Markowitz said. “We are all children of the same God. If only the rest of the world was more like Brooklyn.”
