Borough President Marty Markowitz honored Coney Island’s Abraham Lincoln High School at a Borough Hall ceremony today for capturing back-to-back Public School Athletic League championships and the New York State Class A title.

“Lincoln High School has proved, once again, that the basketball capitol of the world is Brooklyn!” Borough President Markowitz said. “You have shown that you can achieve your dreams with enough hard work and dedication. But I don’t want you to stop dreaming because this is only the beginning. And speaking of dreams, I know that one day a NBA team will be right here in Brooklyn where it belongs!
