On December 9th, Borough President Marty Markowitz honored Fort Greene native Sean Campbell who was one of just 32 U.S. students awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. The 22-year-old is a project manager at the NYC Economic Development Corp. and a graduate of the University of Chicago with a degree in history. Greene will attend Oxford University in England where he will begin studying for a Masters degree in Economic and Social History in September of 2003.

“Sean is what Brooklyn is all about. We have some of the most intelligent and creative minds in America, and I only hope that Sean takes what he learns at Oxford and helps our borough continue to grow and prosper. You’ve made Brooklyn incredibly proud,” said Borough President Markowitz.
