Students

Students must live, or attend school, in Brooklyn and be between the ages of 16 and 18 by July 7, 2008, in order to be eligible.  Otherwise, there are no requirements.  Whether you’ve had a lot of work experience or have never had a job before, you are welcome to apply. 

To apply you need only submit an application and your resume.  If you haven’t worked before, your resume can still include information about your school, extracurricular activities, volunteerism, etc.  Applications can be mailed or faxed back to us.  Just click on the links below.  Please make sure to follow all instructions.

We will review your application to see if your skills are compatible with any of our participating companies.  If so you will be contacted.  Job offers are competitive and Summer HEAT cannot guarantee job placement for all applicants.  Employees are paid by the employing business, not the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President.
