A Place for Dreams

I’m building me a home

a place for my dreams
and my things
a place for me and my loved ones
to sing our stories
a place to restore what was lost…

There were times… when I had no place to go
and my faith was low…
and I didn’t know
how things were going to get better
back and forth and all around
I traveled without rest
on a quest to find  refuge
a familiar refuge to come back to
and by “Not having” this
I realized the importance of shelter
the importance of simply having a roof
to cover 4 walls
and in that moment I was given a chance
I was blessed with a hammer,
and with nails, and with wood,
and with a community that was willing
to work beside me
and here we are…

building me a home

a place for my dreams
and my things
a place for me and my loved ones
to sing our stories
a place to restore what was lost…

I’m building me a home…right here
and when I ‘m done
I will help you… build yours...
