As a scribe, I’m compelled
Destined for greatness
Obstacles lie ahead, very transparent
Clumsily my endeavor advancement
Lacks firm foundation for solid footing
In vain, my greatest achievements are.
Vital brain functions...check
Ink pen fully loaded…check
Common purpose combined, I struggle
Houston, we have a problem
Like oil and water
Thoughts and words…incompatible
Motivating factor? Inspiring determination
Yet I experience writers block
Exploration of cranium tissue
To examine my subconscious dictionary
I intensely contemplate
Intellectual mass glossary
Compiling substantial
Imaginary creativity
Blending elemental
Quality matter only
To discover they have
No essential value
Rendering my vocabulary rolodex
Abundantly indispensable
So if I had a penny for my thoughts
My most prized possession would be
One highly polished Lincoln
Not a Continental or L.T.D mind you
But Abraham that is
To save for a rainy day
